MG Hector and Hector Plus Prices Rise by Up to Rs. 30,000 in April 2026. A Full Breakdown.
  • The MG Hector sees price increases of up to Rs. 30,000, with only the entry-level Style Petrol MT left untouched at Rs. 11.99 lakh.

  • All variants of the Hector Plus receive a uniform Rs. 20,000 hike, with the model now starting at Rs. 17.49 lakh.

JSW-MG Motor India had announced in advance that a price revision across its model range would come into effect from April 2026. When the news first broke, it appeared that vehicles retailed through the MG Select showrooms would be exempt from the hike.

The carmaker, however, later confirmed that even those models would not be spared, with a revision of up to seven per cent applied to the two cars sold through that premium retail channel. The Hector range, sold through the standard dealership network, has now received its revised pricing in full.

Hector Plus Receives a Straightforward, Across-the-Board Hike

For buyers eyeing the three-row Hector Plus, the revision is simple enough to wrap your head around. Every variant in the line-up gets a flat increase of Rs. 20,000, with no exceptions.

Following this change, the Hector Plus is now priced between Rs. 17.49 lakh and Rs. 19.69 lakh, ex-showroom. The uniformity of the hike, at the very least, means there is no reshuffling of the variant hierarchy to worry about.

Hector Revisions Vary Depending on the Variant

The picture is a little more layered when it comes to the standard five-seat Hector. Not every variant is treated the same way, and the degree of the hike depends on where a particular model sits within the line-up.

One Variant Holds Its Ground

The entry-level Style Petrol MT is the sole variant to come out of this revision unscathed. Its price remains fixed at Rs. 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom, which will come as welcome news for first-time buyers and those working with tighter budgets.

Mid-Spec Variants Move Up by Rs. 20,000

Three variants sit in the middle ground of the revision. The Sharp Pro Petrol MT, Sharp Pro Petrol CVT, and Savvy Pro Petrol CVT each attract a price increase of Rs. 20,000. These are among the more popular configurations in the Hector's range, and the moderate hike keeps them within reasonable reach for the majority of buyers.

Higher Variants Bear the Steepest Increase

All remaining variants in the Hector line-up have gone up by Rs. 30,000 apiece. This is the sharpest end of the revision and applies to the bulk of the higher-specification models. With all changes now in effect, the MG Hector carries a price range of Rs. 11.99 lakh to Rs. 19.19 lakh, all figures ex-showroom.

Where the Hector Range Stands Now

The revised pricing nudges the top-end Hector variants ever closer to the Rs. 20 lakh threshold, a space where competition among mid-size SUVs is particularly fierce. That said, the range still opens well below Rs. 12 lakh, which ensures the Hector remains a credible option for a wide cross-section of buyers. Those who had been planning a purchase would do well to factor in the updated numbers before making a final decision.
