MG Comet EV Battery and Performance

Despite the revised price tag, the underlying mechanical setup and features of the MG Comet EV remain unchanged:

  • Battery & Performance: The MG Comet EV continues to be powered by a 17.3kWh IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack paired with a rear-mounted electric motor producing 41bhp and 110Nm of torque. The powertrain remains unchanged despite the latest price revision.

  • Range Capability: The electric hatchback retains its ARAI-certified driving range of up to 230km on a full charge, making it well suited for everyday city driving.

  • BaaS Option: MG also continues to offer the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme, allowing buyers to lower the initial purchase cost by paying separately for battery usage on a per-kilometre basis.

What the Price Revision Means for Buyers

Although the MG Comet EV has become more expensive, buyers continue to get the same battery, driving range and features as before. Those planning to purchase the EV should simply account for the revised prices while choosing the variant that best suits their requirements.

For customers planning to purchase the Comet EV, comparing the updated variant prices and choosing between the standard purchase model and the BaaS programme can help determine the option that best suits their budget.
