The Mercedes EQE 500 SUV is the company’s third vehicle followed by the EQB and EQS sedan. The EQE 500 is offered in a single top spec 500 4Matic trim only.
The EQE SUV shares the EVA (electric vehicle architecture) platform. It is 4,863 mm long, 1,940 mm wide, 1,686 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3,030 mm.
Exterior features include an enclosed grille flanked by a headlamp unit, a lightbar that runs below the bonnet line, and a full-width light bar at the rear to name a few.
Interior features include a free-standing digital dash, portrait-oriented central touchscreen, Mercedes-Benz's MBUX software, ambient lighting, Burmester music system, a head-up display, and an optional Mercedes Hyperscreen that uses the dashboard layout as a full glass panel and integrates three screens.
The EQE SUV is powered by a 90.6 kWh battery that supports 170 kw of DC fast charging. The battery produces 402 bhp and 858 Nm of peak torque. The company claims a WLTP range of 550 km on a single charge and a 0-100 kmph dash in under five seconds.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV will lock horns with the likes of the BMW iX and the Audi Q8 e-tron.
