Mercedes-Benz CLE and AMG GLC 43 Coupe Set to Launch in India on August 8

Mercedes-Benz already rules the heart of luxury car lovers in India. Undoubtedly gearheads have been always looking forward to Mercedes car launches but this time Mercedes is planning to impress its customers with not one but two car launches. The launch is scheduled for August 8. One will be the CLE Cabriolet and the other one is the second-generation AMG GLC 43 Coupe.

Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet

The CLE Cabriolet is a new addition to the Mercedes-Benz lineup, taking over from the C-Class Cabriolet. The design of the CLE Cabriolet takes cues from the E-Class coupe, resulting in a sleek and stylish appearance. The front of the car is striking, while the overall silhouette is refined and sophisticated. Inside the car, the cabin is similar to the C-Class, featuring a luxurious and technology-filled layout. The driver-focused cockpit and spacious 2+2 seating configuration ensure both comfort and style for all passengers.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the CLE Cabriolet is expected to come with powerful petrol engines paired with mild-hybrid technology. While specific details for the Indian market are not yet confirmed, the global lineup includes options like a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine. All versions of the car feature a 48V mild-hybrid setup that provides an extra 22 bhp and 200 Nm of torque through an electric motor integrated with the 9-speed torque converter.

Variants and Pricing

In India, Mercedes is likely to offer the CLE Cabriolet in two variants: the CLE 300 4Matic and the CLE 450 4Matic. As a completely built unit (CBU), the price is expected to be above Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom). This new convertible will compete with the BMW Z4 M40i in the Indian market.

To summarize, The Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet combines the best elements of design, luxury, and performance. With its elegant looks, high-tech interior, and powerful engine options, it is set to make a significant impact in the luxury convertible market in India. The expected high price reflects its premium features and the quality associated with the Mercedes-Benz brand.
