Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar Facility Rolls Out 10 Millionth Unit

In a remarkable achievement, Maruti Suzuki India has reached a significant milestone by rolling out its 10 millionth unit at the Manesar facility in Haryana. This accomplishment makes it the fastest Suzuki manufacturing site globally to achieve this production milestone, accomplishing it in just 18 years.

Overview of the Manesar Facility

Spread across 600 acres, the Manesar facility commenced operations in October 2006. Over the years, it has become a crucial hub for the production of popular models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, Ciaz, Dzire, Wagon R, S-Presso, and Celerio. Not only are these vehicles sold domestically, but they are also exported to various markets, including Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and neighboring Asian countries. Notably, the Manesar facility also produced the Baleno, Maruti Suzuki’s first passenger car exported to Japan.

Maruti Suzuki’s Manufacturing Landscape

Maruti Suzuki operates two manufacturing plants in India, with another plant located in Gujarat, managed by its parent company, Suzuki. This Gujarat plant is set to expand with a new battery manufacturing facility in the same region. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki is developing a new plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, which is anticipated to commence production in 2025.

During the milestone celebration, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India, expressed gratitude to customers for their trust and to employees and business partners for their support. He stated, “As we reach this important landmark, I thank our customers for placing their trust in us.
