Maruti Suzuki Jimny Fuel Efficiency Revealed Ahead Of Its Launch

Maruti Suzuki Jimny’s fuel efficiency figures have been released by the company at the media drive of the SUV.

The company claims a fuel efficiency of 16. 95 kmpl for the manual transmission and 16.39 kmpl for the automatic unit. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is all set to be launched in June and the SUV has already recorded about 30,000 bookings ahead of its launch. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny uses a 1.5-litre K15B engine coupled to a five-speed manual/four-speed automatic that pushes a good 105 bhp and 134.2 Nm of torque.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny also gets the Suzuki All Grip Pro 4WD System that provides ride modes like 2WD-high, 4WD-high, and 4WD-low. It will be offered in two trims: Alpha and Zeta. The Jimny has a fuel tank of 40-litres, and with the above-mentioned frugal figures, we are looking at a range of about 670 km for the manual variant and 650 km for the automatic.

With a booking order of around 30,000 orders, we can expect a waiting period of over six months for the Maruti Suzuki Jimny upon launch. With an expected sticker price of Rs 10-15 lakh, it will lock horns with the likes of the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha to name a few.
