Maruti Dzire 2024: Bookings Soar with Waiting Period Details Revealed

Global NCAP Safety Ratings Elevate Dzire’s Appeal

The 2024 Maruti Dzire has made waves with its impeccable safety credentials, scoring a five-star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection and four stars for child occupant safety. Loaded with advanced features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, and a rear defogger, even the base variant ensures robust safety. Higher trims like the ZXi and ZXi+ boast additional perks, including a 360-degree camera, TPMS, and a reverse parking camera, setting a benchmark in compact sedan safety and convenience.

Bookings Surge: 30,000 and Counting

Since its launch, the Dzire has seen an overwhelming response, with over 30,000 bookings received. An average of 1,000 daily bookings underscores its immense popularity, fueled by its refreshed design, premium interiors, and the all-new Z-Series petrol engine. Maruti Suzuki has already delivered 5,000 units, reflecting its production and delivery efficiency amidst rising demand.

Variant-Wise Waiting Period

Demand for the top-spec ZXi and ZXi+ trims has surged, accounting for more than 50% of bookings. The manual versions of these variants face a waiting period of approximately two months, while their AMT counterparts are expected to be delivered within three months. The Dzire CNG, a popular choice for efficiency-focused buyers, has a waiting period of about three months. On the other hand, entry-level trims like the LXi and VXi enjoy shorter delivery times, with waiting periods spanning just a few weeks.

Competition Heats Up: Honda Amaze vs. Maruti Dzire

The Maruti Dzire’s closest competitor, the recently updated Honda Amaze, has upped the ante with its Honda Sensing ADAS suite. While the Amaze shines in terms of advanced driver assistance features, it falls short of Dzire’s premium offerings like a sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and TPMS. This gives the Dzire a distinctive edge in terms of value for money and versatility.

The new Maruti Dzire continues to solidify its position as a preferred choice in the compact sedan market, blending safety, style, and modern features. With the festive season around the corner, it promises to remain a favorite among Indian car buyers.
