  • Timeline for Launch and Market Strategy

Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled a preview of the XEV 9S, the company's first three-row electric SUV. The car is intended for families that desire an electric ride without sacrificing size or technology, and it is built on the company's specialized INGLO platform.

Three-screen, tech-rich cabin

Three 12.3-inch screens, one for the infotainment, one for the instrument cluster, and one for the front passenger, dominate the dashboard in the teaser. The design includes a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated emblem, similar to that of its sister, the XEV 9e.

Premium comfort and adaptability features

The XEV 9S's luxury emphasis is laid by its full panoramic sunroof and movable second-row seats for additional versatility. Leather-wrapped or leatherette steering wheels, ambient lighting, a contemporary gear selector, and a cabin style emphasizing black upholstery with silver accents are among the other features mentioned.

Modern driver assistance and safety technology

Along with additional safety features, including multi-airbag protection and a 360-degree camera array, the teaser also confirms that the XEV 9S will have an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) with Level 2 support.

Launch date, platform, and anticipated cost

The XEV 9S, which is based on the INGLO skateboard platform, has a flat floor configuration that enhances stability and third-row room. The formal world premiere is scheduled for November 27, 2025, in Bengaluru at Mahindra's "Scream Electric" event. The SUV is expected to cost between Rs. 22.01 - 31.44 Lakh (on-road Delhi price), depending on the model and battery pack.

Why the XEV 9S Is Unique Among Electric SUVs

Mahindra's XEV 9S is a daring attempt to combine innovation, functionality, and luxury in one package; it's more than simply another EV in the range. Its panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, and triple-screen dashboard distinguish it from the majority of competitors in the market. Mahindra's emphasis on family comfort is evident in the roomy third-row and sliding second-row seats. The XEV 9S presents itself as a cutting-edge, high-end substitute for mid-size EVs like the MG ZS EV and Tata Harrier EV as the market for electric SUVs heats up.
