The Audi A8, presently in its fourth generation, is based on the 2014 Audi Prologue concept. In February 2020, the most recent model Audi A8L was introduced in India after making its initial public debut in 2017. Only the long-wheelbase A8L model of the Audi A8 is available for the Indian market, and it is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine with a mild hybrid system.
Audi has offered the most thought to the rear passengers' comfort because most A8L owners will likely be seated in the back. The Audi includes a foot massage feature for the left-side rear passenger as the first vehicle in its class. However, both have typical massage chairs as a standard.
In the back, you also receive a central command or control tablet that can be detached and operate almost every aspect of the vehicle. The driver is outfitted with the newest technologies to let them give the customers the most luxurious trip experience possible. The A8L's dashboard has two touchscreen displays situated in the middle. The main one above manages the infotainment system, while the second one below manages the systems of the vehicle, like the HVAC and the vehicle dynamics.
Two variants are available for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class: the S580 and the S680. While the S680 was released through CBU, the S580 is locally built. The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is now 18cm longer than the standard S-Class. The car has a distinctive bonnet with a chromed fin and a Mercedes-Maybach radiator grille on the outside. The vehicle boasts leather seats, an entertainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a Heads-Up Display (HUD), a completely digital instrument cluster with a 12.8-inch display, MBUX connection, and active noise cancellation for the road.
Mechanically, the 4.0-litre V8 engine that powers the Maybach S-Class S580 generates 496 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque thanks to an integrated second-generation starter-alternator (ISG) and a 48-volt onboard electrical system. This type can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.8 seconds.
The S680, on the other hand, is propelled by a 6.0-litre V12 engine that generates 603 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. The maximum speed for both engines is electronically controlled to 250 kmph, and they both have 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The Mercedes car also has four driving modes, one of which is the brand-new "Maybach mode."
The generation update features a bolder appearance, a sleek body, and a cabin that is generally comparable to the Range Rover's cabin from 2022. A panoramic sunroof, soft-closing doors, ADAS, a 3D surround camera, a 29-speaker Meridian sound system, a 13.1-inch digital driver display, a 13.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system using JLR's Pivi Pro software, ambient lighting, 22-way power front seats with heating and ventilation, a 29-speaker, 1430W Meridian sound system, and ambient lighting are a few of the key features.
A mild-hybrid 3.0-litre drives it, a six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine with 345 PS, an eight-speed automated transmission, and an all-wheel drive. The vehicle also has a 3D surround camera, driver condition monitor, front and rear parking sensors, wading sensors, ClearSight Ground View, manoeuvring lights, and ADAS. A single 3.0-litre, six-cylinder mild-hybrid Ingenium diesel engine with 345PS and 700 Nm is located under the hood, connected to an 8-speed automated transmission and an all-wheel drive system. Dynamic Air Suspension, all-wheel steering, an active anti-roll bar, and Land Rover's Terrain Response 2 technology are some of the performance magic.
