Lexus LM MPV To Get Heated Armrest Developed By Toyoda Gosei

The Toyota Group has revealed that a special heated armrest has been developed to enhance the comfort in luxury cars from the company's premium luxury brand Lexus. The Lexus LM MPV will be the first model to get this feature upon its launch.

Toyoda Gosei, a subsidiary of Toyota Group, has developed the heated armrest for the Lexus brand. According to the company, this will be the first time armrests equipped with heater function are used in a car by a Japanese Manufacturer.

After the heated seats, heated steering, heated OVRMs, now the Japanese carmaker has developed heated armrest for the Japanese Market. This inclusion is intended to increase the in-cabin comfort feature of their vehicles.

Toyoda Gosei has also developed LED floor graphic lighting for the Lexus LM MPV which uses patterns of the LED lights to visually enhance the interior of LM.

The company further states that it has managed to reduce the power consumption by the newly developed armrests by half, using a structural design that helps in minimal loss of thermal energy and at the same time, the company has used materials which still makes the armrests smooth and comfortable to touch.
