Lamborghini Launches Urus S Worth $4.18 Million

The Urus S, which has a 666 horsepower, 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine and a starting price of Rs. 4.18 crore (ex-showroom, India), has been introduced by Lamborghini India.

The Urus S, which will be offered alongside the Urus Performante, is a more abundant and adaptable variation of the two models. It replaced the departing Urus and was released globally in September last year. The Urus Performante, more geared towards the driver, costs Rs 4 lakh more than the Urus S.

Like the Urus Performante, the Lamborghini Urus S has a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that generates 666 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. It claims to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, a fraction slower than the Urus Performante. An 8-speed automatic transmission distributes power to all four wheels.

The Urus S keeps its air suspension system for a smoother ride than the Urus Performante. It also has a variety of driving modes, including three off-road (Sand, Snow, and Mud) and three on-road (Street, Sport, and Track) settings. On the other hand, the Urus Performante only has one off-road mode, termed "Rally," and is devoid of air springs.

Similar aesthetic updates to the Urus Performante have been made to the Lamborghini Urus S, including a reprofiled bumper, a redesigned bonnet with cooling vents, and a new bumper. However, the Urus Performante provides optional carbon fibre parts, including a bonnet and a roof.

The Urus S uses different materials but has the same interior design as the Urus Performante. While Black Alcantara is standard on the Urus Performante, leather is standard on the Urus S. The Urus S, on the other hand, provides a wider range of customisation options and material selections. Like the Urus Performante, the Urus S competes directly with the BMW XM, Audi RSQ8, Aston Martin DBX 707, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and Maserati Levante Trofeo.
