Kia sets up three new EVs for the Indian market

Kia is developing a comprehensive electric vehicle portfolio for India. Three new launches are scheduled within the next one year. The first of these, the EV6 facelift, has already been seen at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, with a launch expected in the near future.

Step down for 2025 Kia EV6 will be the Carens EV, whose launch and pricing details are expected to surface in H2 CY25. Essentially, it's going to be largely akin to its Creta Electric counterpart, meaning level 2 ADAS suite, V2L charging, fully digital colour driver display, battery heater, digital key, Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS), and a drunk.

The next to knock on our doors will be the electrified variant of the recently launched Syros B-SUV early next year. The Syros EV will mark Kia's entry into the budget segment of electric vehicles, while the EV9 three-row SUV does the same for the top-end segment.

It will be interesting to see what design holds for the Syros EV since the soon-to-be-launched ICE derivative already sports some EV-inspired elements like a blanked-off grille and machined dual-tone alloy wheels.
