Kia Seltos Facelift: What To Expect

The Kia Seltos facelift is just around the corner and it is one of the most anticipated launches from the company.

The Kia Seltos is one of the best-selling cars in the SUV segment that comprises the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, and MG Hector to name a few. The Seltos was the first car launched by the company back in 2019 and currently, the company has three more models on offer: EV6, Carens, and the Sonnet.

The Seltos garnered quite a following for itself because of its imposing front face with the tiger nose grille, feature list, and lucrative pricing. And here is everything we can expect from the new facelift.

Exterior and Interior

The silhouette will largely remain the same with a few tweaks for a fresh look, this may include redesigned front and rear bumper, revised grille, and lines on the bonnet for the front section. The rear section is likely to get a revised taillamp unit and a light bar connecting the tail lights.

The interior design may remain unchanged for the most part. We can expect a new layout for the dashboard with a dual-display setup and new shades for the upholstery, a redesigned center console. These changes will give the cabin a fresh look.

The feature list could include multi-zone climate control, a wireless charging pad, and ambient lighting among others. We can also expect an ADAS suite to make its way to the updated model along with new graphics and animations for the instrument cluster and the infotainment system as well.

The outgoing safety tech includes a tyre pressure monitoring system, disc brakes for all wheels, ABS with EBD, six airbags, rear parking sensors, keyless entry, brake assist, hill assist control, vehicle stability management, and electronic stability control to name a few.

Powertrain

The Kia Seltos comes with petrol and diesel powertrains on offer and two 1.5 litre engines that are offered with both manual and automatic gearbox configurations. The updated model could include a new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that has already made its debut in the Hyundai Alcazar, Kia Carens, and the Hyundai Verna. Transmission options for the new engine may include a six-speed manual and a DCT automatic unit.

Price

The on-sale Kia Seltos retails at a starting price of Rs. 10.89 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 19.35 lakh for the top model. The updated Seltos is likely to have a price tag commanding a premium over the current price range.
