Kia Carens CNG Releases for ₹11.77 Lakh in India
Now available in India, the Kia Carens (CNG) costs ₹11.77 lakh (ex-showroom). A factory-fitted CNG kit created by Lovato and certified in accordance with regulatory regulations is included with this new version.
The CNG version of the Carens costs about ₹77,900 more than its similar petrol counterpart (Premium (O) MT).
A factory-approved CNG system (Lovato) built into the Carens platform powers the Carens CNG.
While the Indian version's official power/mileage figures are still under confirmation, preliminary data indicate:
1.4 L (1,400 cc) engine with 242 Nm of torque and about 140 PS of power.
Kia India will shortly release the official ARAI-certified mileage; these numbers are still under wraps.
Crucially, the use of CNG results in reduced fuel costs, which is highly desirable considering India's high petrol and diesel prices.
The Carens keeps its seven-seat configuration and distinctive comfort-focused features even with the CNG setup. Common highlights consist of:
ABS, EBD, six airbags, and all-wheel disc brakes
8-inch touchscreen including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Back AC vents and semi-leatherette upholstery
In order to provide customers peace of mind, Kia is providing a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty that covers the CNG system.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG and XL6 CNG, two popular models in the family MPV market, are direct competitors of the Carens CNG. Kia hopes to draw in budget-conscious families looking for space and value by providing a larger, more upscale MPV with CNG economy.
Large families and fleet buyers find the Kia Carens CNG to be an attractive option since it combines the affordability of CNG fuel with the practicality of a seven-seater. It improves Kia's standing in the expanding CNG market in India with strong safety features, respectable power, and lower ownership costs.
