Jeep Wrangler Willys ’41 Edition Debuts in India: Military Heritage Meets Modern Adventure

Jeep India has unveiled a limited-run edition of the legendary Wrangler Willys ’41 Special Edition-priced at ₹73.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The edition purportedly celebrates Jeep's military ancestry and pays tribute to the original Willys MB that went into production in 1941. To maintain the exclusivity, absolutely 30 units of special SUVs will be made available across the country.

Military Roots But in a More Contemporary Flavor: What Has Changed with the Willys ’41?

Based on the rugged Wrangler Rubicon, the Willys ’41 Edition is finished in an exclusive paint scheme dubbed “41 Green,” a clear reference to the original-looking olive drab color of the military Jeep. To complement the theme, a bold ‘1941’ decal adorns the hood, marking the year the off-road legacy of Jeep began.

Aside from the green finish, customers have the option of choosing from regular Wrangler paint shades- white, black, red, and grey. In terms of accessories, this edition features powered side steps, dashcams on front and rear, interior grab handles, and all-weather floor mats- enough technical flavor and utility for the adventurer!

To complement the SUV's outdoor appeal, Jeep offers an optional sunrider rooftop and side ladder with roof carrier for an additional ₹4.65 lakh.

The Same Performance Maintained - But Capable As Ever

Internally, the Willys ’41 Edition still sports the knowledgeable 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine churning out 270hp and 400Nm of torque on a full-time 8-speed automatic and 4x4 chassis. This means it has given the notorious Rubicon lovers with off-roading abilities: very able off-road and on-road.

A Collectible for Jeep Aficionados

With a mere 30 units offered, the Willys ’41 Edition transcends the merely special trim and exists as one of the rare commemorations of Jeep's origins and an opportunity for sincere enthusiasts to acquire part of that history. Whether you appreciate Jeep's military history or are a collector seeking something exclusive, this Wrangler serves as a worthy homage to one of the most iconic vehicles of all times.
