Jeep Meridian Launched in India at Rs. 24.99 Lakh 2025

Jeep India has officially launched the mid-life update of the Meridian SUV, with prices starting at Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Meridian is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations across four variants: Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O), and Overland. With this launch, Jeep aims to enhance its foothold in the competitive midsize SUV segment.

Exterior Design

On the exterior, there are no significant changes to the new Meridian, which maintains its rugged yet sophisticated look. It retains the same front fascia featuring a distinctive slat grille that is emblematic of the Jeep brand, complemented by sleek LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs). The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, which come in different patterns depending on the variant. The sleek LED taillamps at the rear add a modern touch to the vehicle's overall aesthetic. The Meridian's bold stance and well-defined body lines make it a visually appealing option in the crowded SUV market. ## Interior Features and Technology

Inside the cabin, the updated Meridian boasts a range of new technology features designed to enhance the driving experience and passenger comfort. A highlight is the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, which includes safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and collision avoidance systems. The 10.1-inch infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ensuring seamless connectivity for smartphones.

Additionally, the SUV features a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, a wireless charger for added convenience, dual-zone climate control for personalized comfort, and a panoramic sunroof that floods the cabin with natural light. The front seats are powered and ventilated, providing additional comfort during long drives. It’s important to note that the entry-level Longitude variant is offered only in a five-seat configuration, while all other variants come standard with a seven-seat layout. The base variant also misses out on certain premium features, such as the powered and ventilated front seats and the sunroof, making the higher variants more appealing for those seeking luxury.

Powertrain and Performance

Mechanically, the updated Meridian continues to be powered by the same robust 2.0-litre diesel engine, paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic torque converter. This engine produces a respectable 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque, offering a blend of power and efficiency. The driving dynamics are enhanced with the availability of both 4x2 and 4x4 versions, making it suitable for a variety of terrains and driving conditions.
