Get Ready For The India Launch Of The MG Comet EV In 2023

MG Motor India is preparing to introduce the eagerly awaited Comet EV in the first week of May 2023. The automaker has already distributed invitations for the Comet EV's initial test drives on April 21 and 22. More information about the car is anticipated to be released soon by MG Motor.

According to recent rumours, the future electric car would have dual-linked screens similar to Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The 2-spoke steering wheel of the Comet EV, which has spherical buttons for multimedia and takes design cues from the iconic iPod control dial, is also shown off in a new movie. The MG Comet EV is anticipated to generate buzz in the electric car industry thanks to its distinctive look and technological characteristics.

After inviting the vehicle's inaugural drive earlier this month, MG Motor India is scheduled to introduce its new Comet EV in the first week of May 2023. A twin-connected screen setup and a 2-spoke steering wheel with multimedia circular controls are anticipated for the forthcoming Comet EV.

A reverse parking camera, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, electronic parking brake with auto hold, rotary gear selection, LED headlights, LED taillights, electronically-adjustable exterior rearview mirrors, and front power windows are anticipated to be included in the EV's feature set.

Although MG still needs to provide information about the Comet EV's powertrain, it is anticipated that buyers will have a choice between the two battery pack configurations available in the Wuling Air EV, which is sold in China and is also called by that name. These 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh battery packs each have a 40PS electric motor and are said to have a range of up to 200km and 300km on a single charge, respectively.

The Comet EV will be promoted as an electric vehicle for crowded towns and cities with greater connectivity and entertainment amenities to attract youthful car customers. It is anticipated to start at Rs. 10 lakh ex-showroom and will likely compete with the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3.
