In UP a group of men in a BMW chased a car with a family in it

In a disturbing incident that occurred in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a group of men reportedly chased and assaulted a family traveling in another car shortly after midnight on May 6. The police have confirmed that two suspects have been apprehended in connection with this incident of road rage. A video of the incident, captured on the dashcam of the victims' car, surfaced on social media, sparking concerns regarding public safety in the area.

The viral video captured the attackers, allegedly in a BMW car, pursuing and overtaking the family's vehicle before barricading their path. Subsequently, the assailants exited their vehicle and began throwing bottles at the family's car. The footage also showed the victims frantically reversing their car in an attempt to evade the attackers while attempting to contact the police for assistance, to no avail.

Providing details on the incident, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Ashok Kumar Sharma stated that the altercation occurred in front of the IFS Villa under the jurisdiction of the Knowledge Park police station on the night of May 2. He explained that a minor collision and confrontation between the woman's car and the accused culminated in the latter throwing a bottle at the former.

Despite the victim's reluctance to pursue legal action, the police initiated a proactive investigation into the matter, leveraging CCTV footage and proceeding with necessary actions under the Goonda Act. Following intervention by the Knowledge Park police station officials and a subsequent statement from the UP Police from Lucknow, two individuals allegedly involved in the incident were swiftly arrested, and the BMW car associated with the incident was seized.

The UP Police promptly located and apprehended the individuals accused of intimidating the women in the targeted car within a mere two-hour timeframe after the video went viral. The ownership of the BMW car was also confirmed, and actions are being taken by law enforcement in response to this incident.
