Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the philanthropic arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), inaugurated the second phase of the ‘Vidya Vahini Program’ to help enhance the knowledge and exposure of government school students in remote rural areas across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana in the field of science. With an investment of INR 2.38 Crores, Hyundai is reaching out to 30,000 students across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, providing them with access to the latest scientific knowledge and resources.
Launched in 2022, the Vidya Vahini Program has already made a significant impact on the lives of 10,000 students in Uttar Pradesh. The program focuses on enhancing the science education of students in government schools, particularly in remote rural areas. The goal is to equip these young minds with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The program operates through "Mobile Science Libraries" and "Lab on Bike" initiatives, which travel across 14 districts in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. These mobile units bring the classroom to the students, ensuring they have access to modern educational resources, no matter where they live.
