The Honda Elevate, a compact SUV that will soon be sold at dealerships, is already taking reservations. The SUV has hyped enough interest despite needing to be made public to inspire early reservations.

Honda's first brand-new model in six years will be introduced to the Indian market with the Elevate before moving on to other markets. Honda has decided to use the "Elevate" nameplate instead of adhering to its custom of terminating model names with a "V" (such as CR-V, WR-V, and BR-V). This change in naming convention could herald the coming of new-generation Honda models, including electrified cars.

The future SUV "Elevate" badging was revealed by Honda Car India in a social media post, along with a glimpse at the vehicle's connected LED taillights. Despite the sparse specifications, the post shows off the distinctive branding and gives a sneak peek at the SUV's backlighting elements.

The Elevate SUV's silhouette and LED headlights, DRLs, and fog lamps were previously shown in a teaser video from the automaker. Large grilles, roof rails, and hefty wheel arches have all been shown in early spy photos of the SUV.

A single-pane sunroof, wireless phone charging, a digital driver's display, and ventilated front seats are among the amenities the Elevate SUV is anticipated to offer, in addition to a larger touchscreen than the 8-inch one seen in the City. The six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, and 360-degree camera should all contribute to the passenger's safety. Several advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) will be available in the car.

The Elevate SUV will only be offered in a petrol model like the City. The same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine featured in the City is anticipated, along with CVT and 6-speed manual gearbox options. Additionally, Honda's small SUV will likely come with the potent hybrid drivetrain from the City Hybrid, which generates a combined output of 126 PS.

The Elevate is slated to go on sale by the end of August, with an approximate ex-showroom price of Rs 11 lakh. The MG Astor, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Skoda Kushaq are just a few of the fierce competitors Honda hopes to place the SUV against.
