High demand for Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5, AX5 L Variants

The recently launched Mahindra XUV 3XO is capturing significant customer interest, with the company announcing that it has already received 50,000 bookings for the SUV. Deliveries are set to commence on May 26, indicating robust demand and popularity for this new model. Dealers have reported that the waiting period for some variants of the XUV 3XO can be as long as six months.

High Demand for AX5 and AX5 L Variants

A detailed check with Mahindra dealers reveals that the AX5 and AX5 L trims are the most popular among customers. The AX5 variant, starting at Rs 10.69 lakh, includes features such as 16-inch diamond cut alloys, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, connected car technology, dual-zone climate control, a reverse camera, TPMS, and electrically adjustable wing mirrors.

On the other hand, the AX5 L variant, priced from Rs 11.99 lakh, offers additional features like Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, and a cooled glove box. Notably, these variants do not come with the panoramic sunroof option, suggesting that customers are not inclined to pay extra for this ‘first-in-class’ feature.

Moderate Interest in AX7 and AX7 L Variants

While the mid-spec AX5 and AX5 L variants are leading in bookings, the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L variants, which include the panoramic sunroof, have also seen a decent number of bookings in some cities. However, these top-spec trims are not as popular as the mid-spec variants.

Regarding exterior paint choices, Everest White and Nebula Blue are the most favored by customers across all variants, followed by Gravity Grey and Stealth Black.

Delivery Schedule and Waiting Periods

Deliveries for the mid-spec AX5, AX5 L, MX3, and MX3 Pro trims will begin on May 26. However, the entry-level MX1, MX2, and MX2 Pro trims, along with the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L variants, are expected to start deliveries by late June or early July. Customers opting for the AX7 and AX7 L variants are being informed of a waiting period of at least three months. Meanwhile, the entry-level trims are facing waiting periods of up to six months.

The high demand for the Mahindra XUV 3XO, especially for its AX5 and AX5 L variants, highlights the model's appeal among Indian consumers. With its impressive features and competitive pricing, the XUV 3XO is poised to make a significant impact in the SUV market.
