Ford is Recalling Over 4.5 Lakh Vehicles in the US over Safety Issues

Ford is recalling, over 450,000 vehicles in the US due to a safety concern related to a power loss caused by battery issues affecting specific compact pickups and SUVs. The list of impacted vehicles consists of Ford Bronco Sport SUVs made between 2022 and 2024 as Ford Maverick pickups manufactured from 2022 to 2023.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has pointed out that certain models of Ford SUVs and pickups are encountering power loss due to battery problems, which could lead to control issues sudden stalling, and possible difficulties in restarting thereby increasing safety and crash risks. To address this issue promptly and ensure customer safety Ford has decided to recall half a million vehicles in the US.

To resolve the power loss problem linked to batteries Ford plans to rectify it by recalibrating the body control and powertrain control modules of the affected vehicles. This recalibration process will be carried out at dealerships of charge, for customers alleviating any financial burden associated with the repair. This proactive measure taken by Ford aims at protecting customer safety and preventing any accidents stemming from the power loss problem.

This latest recall is part of a series of safety recalls that Ford has issued recently showing the company's dedication to addressing safety concerns. In the past, Ford recalled about 1 million F150 trucks in July due, to parking brake issues and 400,000 SUVs in January of that year for rear camera problems. By dealing with safety issues through recalls and putting actions, in place, Ford is emphasizing customer safety and maintaining its promise to provide top-notch vehicles.
