Ferrari to raise the bar with its new Purosangue SUV

Finally, the time has come for more than just Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and Aston Martin to manufacture SUVs; Ferrari is also getting ready to introduce its SUV model Purosangue 2022. It is all because of the growing demand for expensive, high-performance sport-utes.

High-end luxury automakers like Porsche and Lamborghini have found great success with the concept of launching SUVs, and we can already see Ferrari getting ready to compete in this market.

Performance

The high-riding Ferrari is expected to use the same turbocharged V8 engine as the Urus and DBX. Because it is likely to sell in huge numbers, the V8 should also meet pollution rules, while the iconic V12 from the flagship would be too expensive for the SUV.

Power will be sent to the all-wheel-drive system via an automatic gearbox, and we believe that the hardware will include capabilities like four-wheel steering, adjustable ride height, and more.

Features

The Ferrari-on-stilts would be more of a crossover than a full-blown SUV. According to speculations, the Ferrari on stilts would resemble the Rolls Royce Cullinan and the Aston DBX more than a full-fledged SUV. The GTC4 Lusso body is being tried on the early Purosangue test mules.

We anticipate a new chassis below with the engine up front and power travelling to all four wheels. The Purosangue, internally known as F16X, is the subject of several rumours. One of them is that the chassis will be made entirely of aluminium.

Given that it is a Ferrari SUV, we anticipate spacious seating for four people and a helpful trunk. The dashboard and seats will be dynamic and allow a high level of driver contact in a classic Ferrari manner.

The Purosangue should feature components from the previously launched SF90 Stradale and the 812 Superfast. The Ferrari SUV's lavish interior is wrapped in gorgeous leather with actual carbon fibre inlays.

Price

We expect Ferrari to price between Rs 3 crore and Rs 5 crore when it reaches India in 2023.

The Ferrari Purosangue is the brand's first SUV. The Ferrari Purosangue will be the Italian automaker's response to cars like the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne, and Range Rover Sport, among the 15 new models it will release before 2022.
