Five gang members have been arrested, according to police, after they stole more than 150 expensive cars in Delhi-NCR, mostly SUVs. The gang members sold the stolen cars in several states using software-based hacking tools.

Investigators claim that the suspects discovered how to steal cars by hacking their software online. They further stated that they unlocked and started the car without setting off the alarm by using a ₹1 lakh gadget, unlocked the doors with master keys, and removed the steering wheel with a magnet.

The police said that they had recovered two on-board diagnostics devices, which were used to create the electronic keys for the cars. They also stated that the suspects, Musahid (33), Arif (29), Satish Kumar (36), Mohammad Adil (34), and Razzaq Mainuddin Shaikh (34), are from Panipat, Budh Vihar, Khatauli (UP), Pune, and Shaheen Bagh, respectively.

Following a complaint of a stolen SUV from Greater Noida West's Phase 3, the Greater Noida police tracked down the suspects.

The suspects sold cars in Rajasthan, Bihar, and Delhi. Three vehicles—a Brezza, two Swifts, two handguns created in the nation, a knife, fourteen phony license plates, a device scanner, and other equipment—were taken out of their custody, according to Dr. Hridesh Katheriya, Central Noida's additional deputy commissioner of police.

For the previous eight to ten years, Musahid, Kumar, and Arif have been involved in four-wheeler theft. To unlock the locked autos, they employed devices including smart keys, long screwdrivers, and magnets, according to the DCP.

Dinesh Singh, 27, and Fannu Ali, alias Ajmer, 35, were named as the other two suspects, according to ADCP Katheriya.
