The Citroen C3X crossover sedan seems to be in the works and a few spy shots of the test mule give us a fair idea of what we can expect of the upcoming product from Citroen. The shots confirm that the vehicle is still at the early stages of production, especially the front and the rear section. We can also expect a lot of shared components like the doors, body panels and fenders between the C3X and C3 Aircross SUV. The C3X will have these shared parts tweaked for its own unique look, like a tapering roofline, steep windscreen, minor changes for the upholstery and interior panels, dashboard, and centre console.
The C3X will be the third offering for the Indian car market based on its CMP platform. It is likely to use the existing powertrain - a 1.2-litre, turbo petrol engine with both automatic and manual gearbox options. The engine produces 109 bhp of power. We can expect an electric guise from the company as well.
The upcoming Citroen C3X is likely to be named the C3X Fastlounge and will rival the likes of the Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus to name a few.
