Citroen C3 CNG Launched in India: Official Kit, Affordable Running & Upgraded Features

Citroen has now introduced a petrol C3 in CNG fitment as an official retrofitment which will hopefully appeal to buyers looking for a value city car. This CNG kit will be fitted through the certified retrofitment route for a cost of Rs. 93,000, and will be delivered to you through your local Citroen dealership.

Impressive Mileage & Compatibility with All Key Variants

The CNG kit is suitable for the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine that powers the Citroen C3 Live, Feel, Feel (O), and Shine variants. The kit claims a fuel economy of 28.1 km/kg, making it one of the most economical daily commute vehicles on the market.

Crucially, the CNG nozzle is located in the same location as the fuel filler, making for a tidier and more practical dual-fuel system.

Strong Warranty Support

Citroen is also not skimping on warranties. The brand is offering a three-year/1,00,000 km warranty on both vehicle and CNG components, showing the brands trust in the durability and safety of the factory approved conversion.

Regular Feature Updates Provide Added Value

The Citroen C3 has been evolving steadily since its launch to market in mid-2022 due to feature upgrades arriving regularly. The August 2024 latest update brought with it features like LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, six airbags and auto-folding wing mirrors, all which have added to the hatchback's marketability.

A Value-Priced Move for City-Based Commuters

With petrol prices still erratic, the addition of a CNG variant allows the C3 to appeal with a market multiplier, especially for budget-savvy customers wanting fuel savings over the long term with style and comfort. If cities continue to expand on CNG infrastructure, Citroen C3 CNG may find a viable route with environmentally astute urban drivers.
