The Indian automotive market has seen the launch of several new vehicles in various classes, and May is predicted to be a big month for new vehicle launches. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny, initially displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo in January and scheduled to go on sale this month, is one of the most eagerly anticipated releases.
The 1.5-liter NA petrol engine will have 103 PS, and the lifestyle SUV, which will compete with the Mahindra Thar, is anticipated to start at roughly Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). All Jimny models will have a 4x4 setup and be offered through Maruti Suzuki's upscale Nexa dealerships.
MG Motors introduced the Comet EV in India with a starting price of Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most cost-effective EV in the nation. The vehicle has two doors, four seats, and a maximum driving range of 230 kilometres. This month, pricing for the car's higher trim levels, including extra goodies like a 10.25-inch touchscreen screen, a digital instrument cluster, and linked technology, will be revealed.
The Tata Altroz CNG, unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo, already accepts reservations. Additionally, the car will have an electric sunroof, direct CNG start, cruise control, and cutting-edge twin-cylinder technology to increase the boot's capacity. Automobiles powered by compressed natural gas are anticipated to cost roughly Rs 1 lakh more than similar petrol-powered vehicles.
The performance SUV, the X3 M40i, from BMW, also accepts reservations as it will soon be available in India. A 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, resembling the one in the BMW M340i but with a modified output of 360 PS power and 500 Nm torque, would power the SUV. Additionally, 19-inch M Sport alloy wheels, blacked-out components, and M-themed features inside and out are anticipated for the X3 M40i.
The redesigned Kia Seltos made its premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year, and a makeover is anticipated for this month. The new version might include a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 160 PS power, a DCT gearbox and various aesthetic and feature changes. One of the most well-liked SUVs on the Indian market, the Seltos made its debut in 2019.
