BYD India has launched the BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition in India on October 12, 2026. It is priced at Rs 50.60 lakh ex-showroom and limited to 150 units for the festive season.

It is a special edition, not a new generation or a regular variant. It is based on the Premium rear-wheel drive for buyers who prefer a warmer cabin colour.

What Is New in the BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition

The company says the Festive Edition adds a Tan and Black two-tone cabin to the Premium. It describes the trim as a warmer finish for buyers who want a lighter interior.

Nothing else changes. The company lists no update to exterior design, wheels, battery, motor, range, suspension, software, sunroof, audio, airbags or driver assistance. Seats keep the same shape and functions, with colour as the only difference.

The edition is part of the company's festive campaign. It is cosmetic. Buyers expecting more power, more range or faster charging from the badge will not find it here.

Inside the Cabin and Equipment List

Inside, the layout matches the standard Premium. The company lists a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, quilted Nappa leather seats, a panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade and a head-up display, which projects speed and navigation cues ahead of the driver.

The list also includes a powered tailgate, driver seat memory, ambient lighting and a 12-speaker system. Safety list is unchanged, with 11 airbags and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Euro NCAP is the European crash test programme.

The light Tan trim may show stains faster than black, so buyers should ask about cleaning and trim warranty. The company has not announced a separate accessory pack or discount for the 150 cars.

What It Means for Buyers

The BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition is the Premium in different clothes, and the company is not pretending otherwise. You pay Rs 70,000 more for the Tan and Black cabin and the 150-unit tag, with no extra power, range or equipment.

If that cabin is what you wanted, and you can secure an allotment, it is worth a shortlist. If you want a lower price, stay with the Premium. If you want all-wheel drive pace, test the Performance.
