The BMW iX1 SUV has been launched for Rs. 66.90 lakh ex-showroom and it has been sold out within a few hours after the launch.
The BMW iX1 SUV will be available in India as a CBU and in one single xDrive30 M Sport trim. Deliveries are expected to start from October.
The BMW iX1 is powered by a 66.5 kWh battery that comes coupled with a dual motor setup, the combined output stands at 308 bhp and 494 Nm of peak torque. The company claims a 0-100 kmph dash in 5.6 seconds. And a claimed range of 440 km on a full charge along with a top speed of 180 kmph.
The battery can be charged from 10-80 per cent in 29 minutes using a 130 kW DC fast charger. And a 0-100 per cent charge time stands at over six hours.
Interior features include a 10.25-inch driver display and a 10.7-inch infotainment unit combined together, metallic rims on the air vents, wireless charging, electrically adjustable front seats with memory and massage function, a Harmon Kardon sound system with 12 speakers, two-zone climate control, six ambient lighting modes, panoramic sunroof, and an automated tailgate to name a few.
The safety kit includes ABS with brake assist, electronic stability control among others.
The BMW iX1 will rival the likes of the Volvo XC40 Recharge, Kia EV6, Mercedes-Benz EQB and Hyundai Ioniq to name a few.
