BMW has announced that the iX1 will be launched on September 28th and this will be the fourth electric model in the company’s electric line-up.
The iX1 is based on the X1 and it shares parts and body panels with the ICE counterpart, the iX1 will have blue accents on the grille, sidestep and bumpers.
The BMW iX1 is powered by a 66.5 kWh battery that comes coupled with a dual motor setup, the combined output stands at 313 bhp and 494 Nm of peak torque. The company claims a 0-100 kmph dash in 5.6 seconds. And a claimed range of 440 km on a full charge along with a top speed of 180 km.
The X1 gets a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and the BMW’s curved display setup, we can expect the same on the iX1 along with a panoramic sunroof as an option. We can also expect massage functions on the front seat.
The iX1 can be expected to be launched with a sticker price of Rs. 61-66 lakh and it will lock horns with the likes of the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
