Bharat NCAP is one of the Voluntary Programs under which an assessment of Safety is done based on the car's performance in crash tests and the installation of safety equipment equipment in the vehicle. It is India's renowned safety rating and crash testing agency that has created excitement on social media by hinting at the upcoming release of safety ratings for a new batch of cars. This announcement comes after a five-month gap since their last safety ratings reveal in December 2023.

Government officials, however, have pushed the manufacturers to reveal the results immediately rather than waiting until the code of conduct expires on June 4 out of concern that the program may lose momentum.
