2026 Toyota Fortuner and Innova Price Increases in India; Leader Edition Discontinued

Toyota India changed the prices of several of its most popular cars in the nation at the beginning of January this year. The Fortuner SUV and its siblings in the Innova family saw price rises. Depending on the version and drivetrain, the Fortuner faced price increases of up to ₹74,000. The cost of premium trims, such as the GR-S, which are renowned for their 4x4 prowess and high equipment levels, has increased. The entry price of the Legender variant was increased by up to ₹71,000, along with the regular SUV.
The elimination of the Leader Edition from Toyota's official lineup represents a major structural shift in the Fortuner range. Demand is now concentrated on the remaining, better-equipped trims as the range is made simpler. The SUV is powered by 2.7-liter gasoline and 2.8-liter diesel engines with a variety of manual and automatic transmission combinations. Both petrol and diesel powertrains are still available.
Toyota is reassessing its variation options in addition to the headline price increases in order to better suit consumer preferences and market conditions. This might be interpreted as part of a larger trend in the automobile industry as global input costs change.
The Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta have also been affected by the pricing change. Families and business owners alike have always favoured these multipurpose cars, which have witnessed slight rises in a few grades.
