The 2025 Audi e-tron GT has received significant updates, making the electric sports sedan a compelling alternative to the Porsche Taycan. The e-Tron GT lineup, which includes the S e-Tron GT, RS e-Tron GT, and RS e-Tron GT Performance, features mechanical enhancements and visual updates. The Performance variant stands out as the most powerful and fastest production car Audi has ever made. Let’s delve into the details.
The 2025 e-tron GT retains most of its predecessor's design cues but introduces exclusive elements for each variant. The RS models feature larger side air intakes with distinctive "L-shaped" components, while the entry-level S sports glossy black trim around its grille. New wheel designs and a two-dimensional Audi four-ring emblem further enhance its look. Notably, the RS twins come with multispoke 20-inch wheels and optional forged 12-spoke wheels reminiscent of the 1991 Avus Quattro concept. A new Bedford Green paint job is exclusive to the Performance model, which also offers a matte carbon roof.
All e-tron GT variants are equipped with dual electric motors. The S e-Tron GT produces 670bhp, the RS e-Tron GT generates 844bhp, and the RS e-Tron GT Performance delivers a remarkable 912bhp. Acceleration times vary, with the S e-Tron GT reaching 100km/h in 3.4 seconds, the RS e-Tron GT in 2.8 seconds, and the RS e-Tron GT Performance in just 2.5 seconds. The top speeds are 245km/h for the S model and 250km/h for the RS variants. A boost function in the RS models provides an instantaneous power surge of up to 70 kW.
Audi has strengthened the driveshaft and reduced the rear motor weight by 10 kg. The e-Tron now features a larger 105kWh battery pack, providing a WLTP range of 609km. The battery can fast-charge from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes, thanks to an increased maximum charging capacity of 320 kW.
Interior updates are subtle yet impactful. The Virtual Cockpit now offers detailed EV battery information, with the Performance variant featuring a customizable white background. The new panoramic sunroof can switch between clear and opaque glass at the push of a button. The redesigned steering wheel, new seat designs with illuminated logos, and enhanced upholstery add to the luxury. The Performance model offers carbon camouflage and birch interior trim options, with striking Serpentine Green contrast stitching.
Audi has released details for the European market, with the e-tron GT already available for purchase. Pricing for the outgoing Audi e-tron GT started at USD 107,995 (around Rs 90.03 lakh), with the RS model priced at USD 148,595 (around Rs 1.24 crore). We expect more information about the US model, including EPA range estimates and pricing, to be announced soon.
