Andhra Pradesh's RTO is also responsible for the inspection of vehicles operating over the road. The officials conduct such inspections randomly to ensure those vehicle owners comply with the existing rules and regulations. Additionally, the inspection process followed by AP RTO consists of 4 steps, i.e., verification of identity details, preliminary tasks, hidden damages, and physical inspection of vehicles. The process starts with verifying the VIN number, manufacturing year, model name, etc. Further, the official checks the functioning of the engine and notes the odometer running. Besides these, the inspection is followed by checking mirrors, tail lights, doors, etc. In the end, the official looks for the hidden damages, if any.�
