Helping four-wheeler owners in smooth passage through tolls, the FASTag system has made life convenient for everyone. It has been made mandatory for all four-wheeler vehicles to have by the Government of India (GOI). This electronic toll system helps you cross all toll plazas located on the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) easily.
Once at the toll plaza, you simply get your FASTag on your vehicle scanned electronically. Post that, the toll tax gets deducted from your digitally linked wallet. This eliminates the need for cash payment and makes the toll-collection procedure quick, efficient and transparent.
There are many ways in which you can get FASTag for your four-wheeler vehicle. You can go for either online or offline methods. If you want FASTag within a day, you can do so by going for the offline method. The temporary booths at NHAI toll plazas, FASTag booths at RTOs, transport hubs, several petrol stations, and service centres offer FASTag in just a few hours. Other methods include visiting banks and applying online.
