So, let's start with the offline method. ## Steps to change your driver's license offline
Go to your local R.T.O. First, go to your local R.T.O. to change the address on your driver's license. The R.T.O. has to be one where the original driver's license was issued. Get a No objection certificate and a Clearance certificate. You have to get these two certificates to proceed any further. You will require a N.O.C. (No objection certificate) and CC (Clearance certificate). You can get these certifications from your local R.T.O. (Regional Transport Office). Once again, remember the R.T.O. needs to be the same where the original driver's license was issued. The charge of N.O.C. is 100 rupees, and you will get it in three to four business days. Write an application for address change. Then you have to write an application for address change and then submit this application with the documents in your local R.T.O. Make payment You must pay 500 rupees for fees to submit this application. Give your biometric and photograph.
After applying, you will be called after a few days to submit your photographs, biometrics, and Iris. With that, you will also receive a receipt with a future date for reference and your driver's license. A point to remember It will take longer if you are changing your address to a new state than if you stay in the same state with a different address. It can be one or two weeks for the same state but more than a month for the new state. So you have to wait for more if changing your address to a different state. ## Steps to change your driver's license address onine Go to the government website. You have to go to the website Of State Transport Official website. Select online services and select driver's license-related services After that, you have to select your state. From the list of DL services shown, choose the one to change the address on a driving license in India. Then the date of birth, R.T.O. and old driving license number, and proceed to verify your permanent address. Enter the address you want to change in the new DL, click on input Captcha, and submit. Print the next page that displays your Application Number for future use Upload all required documents, choose a payment gateway and pay the necessary fees. After you successfully paid the fees an acknowledgement message will be popped up. Then select Print Receipt to generate a receipt. You must take a screenshot of the ticket to check all the details.
