In April 2022, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), organized a series of events along the lines of the clarion call given by the Hon'ble Prime Minister to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Smart Cities, Smart Urbanization conference was organized during 18-20 April 2022 at Surat and it was a very successful gathering as the idea behind the event was to invite the top 20 startups from across the country and provide them with a platform facilitating the confluence of ideas, innovations, and partnerships to inform the future trajectory of smart urban development in India.

The conference revolved around the Reimagining of Public Spaces, Digital Governance, ClimateSmart Cities, Innovation, and Smart Finance. The conference focused on how to transfer learning from a smart city to other cities and towns in the country.

But how can one plan a smart city without taking care of smart parking solutions? In today's time, parking is an ever-growing concern in bigger cities. Urban cities are struggling with greater parking concerns every day as the number of vehicles is growing exponentially.
