Honda's Upcoming Compact SUV Christened 'Elevate'

The SUV is all set to be unveiled on June 6 and will be first launched for the Indian market and then for the rest of the world. It will share its underpinnings with the fifth-gen Honda City and with a 1.5-litre engine at the time of the launch. The City’s engine makes a good 121 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission options could be a six-speed manual and a CVT, just like the Honda City.

The Honda Elevate is expected to borrow design cues from the existing SUVs in the Honda fleet, such as the HR-V, and CR-V to name a few. The Elevate can be expected to measure 4.2 - 4.3 metres in length, considering how it shares its underpinnings with the Honda City. The exterior feature includes muscular arches, flared fenders, and chunky cladding, all giving it a butch look. The overall stance of the Honda Elevate will be quite upright.

On the inside, we can expect a good 10.2-inch digital touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital dash, dual-zone climate control, and other features. The prices of the Honda Elevate will be announced by August 2023 and we can expect a starting ex-showroom price of around Rs. 12 lakh and stretching all the way up to the Rs. 20 lakh mark.
