The future five-door Thar will share a platform with the Scorpio N, which is anticipated to hit the market by 2023, according to Mahindra's head of automotive product development.

Having five doors and the ability to comfortably fit more passengers than its predecessors, the Mahindra Thar is more of a family vehicle. The 5-door Thar is anticipated to be 22% longer than the 3-door variation, whose present length is 3,985mm and wheelbase is around 2,450mm. It will also have a longer wheelbase than the current version sold on the market.

The five-door Thar should appear to be a more comprehensive product than just a three-door variant with additional doors. Because of the wider track, enhanced suspension, and higher stiffness, it will feel more stable on the road than the current Thar.
