In terms of exterior, the 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift has a larger and wider grille with new mesh, and boomerang DRLs finished in piano black. Overall, it has an appealing look. Nevertheless, there are no changes to the headlights or bonnet, but looking closer, you will see a satin-finished Hyundai logo in place of the 3D chrome. It has the same profile, and even the alloy wheels are the same 15-inch units. The LED taillights at the rear have been updated in design with new T-shaped motifs for the cluster.
The cabin is identical, with some minor changes. It feels airy and is upmarket, as it is equipped with segment-best features, making this car one of its kind. The only new thing is the seat cover, finished in silver. Besides, the cabin is equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift also has auto climate control, wireless charging, rear air-con vents on the centre console, powered wing mirrors, height adjustment for the steering wheel, analogue instrument cluster with 3.5-inch multi-information display (MID), rear parking camera, 6 airbags (front and side standard + 2 curtains on top-end trim), electronically stability control (ESC) and hill start assist (HSA). The car is easy to drive, the steering and clutch feel light, and even the gear shifts are precise. Its 4.9-metre radius is a big boon in the traffic conditions, and its light and easy drivability make you drive it even more. You need to slow down the car on the sharper bumps, as you might feel a sharp pinch on your back.
On the engine front, it is powered by a 1.2-litre engine in petrol with a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The petrol engine belts out 82 bhp at 6000 rpm and 114 Nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm. It also comes in CNG variants where the same motor puts out 68 bhp at 600 rpm and 93 Nm at 4000 rpm. However, the CNG engine only has the five-speed manual gearbox on offer. It is one of the best hatchbacks for people who commute to places on a daily basis. It offers good mid-range power and impressive fuel economy, as it easily delivers 14.8 kmpl.
Overall, it has a premium look and is worthy of consideration for car buyers looking for a hatchback at a reasonable price. The new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will rival Maruti Swift, Tata Tiago, and Maruti Ignis. To learn more about other cars and their variants, you can download the Park+ App!
