Maruti e-Vitara will be an Indian-made front e-Axle launch

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara, with a locally developed front e-axle created by BluE Nexus. The SUV will be front wheel drive, and an all wheel drive model will follow at some stage, and possibly with Toyota under its EV brand. A 61kWh battery is going to provide a range of up to 500km.

Recently, information on the Maruti e Vitara was leaked online, indicating that the company's first electric vehicle would probably be available in three different models: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. In addition to this, the following potential variant-wise feature distribution was also leaked:

Maruti Suzuki will Establish 1,500 EV Workshops in India

With the upcoming launch of its first all-electric SUV, e-Vitara, in September, Maruti Suzuki is gearing people towards the adoption of EVs by setting up more than 1500 EV-specific workshops. This is all in a bid to increase its overall network of service to more than 8,000 touchpoints by 2030-31.
